Bina Shah is a writer of English fiction and a journalist living in Karachi, Pakistan.
She is the author of four novels and two collections of short stories, including Slum Child, which was a best seller in Italy. A regular contributor to the International New York Times, she is a provocative and bold commentator for the international press on Pakistan’s society, culture, and women’s rights. Her most recent novel, A Season For Martyrs, was published in France and India last year.
Ziad Bashir is director and owner at Gul Ahmed Textiles Mills Ltd, and launched Pakistan’s largest lifestyle retail chain, IDEAS. Ziad has served as chairman of LATI Landhi Association of Trade and Industry and is a member of YPO Young Presidents organization and at the age of 32, became the President of YPO Pakistan and is currently serving on the board. Ziad is also currently serving on the executive committee of the Pakistan Board of Investment as well as the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade.
Dr. Aneela Darbar is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan. She has received the teaching and humanitarian award at SUNY Syracuse and Outstanding Young Alumnus Award by Dow Graduate Association of North America. She also pioneered the Women in Neurosurgery (WINS) chapter in Pakistan and is a committee member for Foundation for International Education for Neurological surgery (FIENS).
Mubashir Zaidi - Editor at Dawn Media Group, ex-BBC, VOA, LA Times, Hindustan Times, Herald. Mubashir Zaidi is an award winning multimedia journalist having more than 24 years of experience working in top national and international media
organizations. Currently he is working as Editor Investigations and host of Program Zara Hut Kay. He headed Pakistan’s first private English language news channel Dawn News.
Sadaffe Abid is co-founder and CEO at CIRCLE. Prior to this, she managed Kashf Foundation as CEO and COO, one of Forbes Top 50 microfinance institutions which she helped grow from a pilot in two rooms to serve 300,000 women clients in Pakistan. Sadaffe completed her Masters at the Harvard Kennedy School, Advanced Management Program at INSEAD and her B.A. at Mount Holyoke College. She is a recipient of the Mount Holyoke Alumni Achievement Award.
