The Classical Music Without Borders concert series in now in its second year! The next concert in the series features Italian duo Simona Mana (Soprano) & Marco Tempesti (Pianist).
The concert will be held at the Alliance Française de Karachi in partnership with the Consulate of Italy.

About Simona Mana:
Simona Mana is a school teacher at the Istituto Comprensivo di Verzuolo. Apart from teaching, she has studied the "Bel Canto" at the Fondazione Fossano Musica (FFM), carving out rewarding moments in musical performances organized by the FFM. She has won the scholarship to the first Competition "Incontro all'Opera" of Diano Castello (Imperia).
She has performed at various concerts as a chorister and soloist organized by the Fondazione Fossano Musica from 2014 until present. It includes performances with the Voci in Armonia ensemble; collaborations with the guitar orchestra; "Le ultime sette parole di cristo sulla croce" by F. G. Haydn with the Casale Choir, directed by Giulio Castagnoli; "Incontro all’opera" in collaboration with the Filarmonica "Arrigo Boito" of Fossano and "Arie d’Opera" for the first performance of the FFM Classica orchestra - Director Julius Kalmar.
About Marco Tempesti:
Born in 2001, Marco began his piano studies at the age of seven at the Gandino Institute in Bra. Since 2012, he has been studying with Andrea Stefenell at the Fondazione Fossano Musica. In 2013, he was enrolled at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Turin with Valeria De Bernardi for the piano recitals and with Antonio Valentino for the chamber music.
In 2014 and 2015, Marco took part at the Piano Masterclass in Neive under the guidance of Antonio Valentino and Claudio Voghera. In 2016, he performed at the “G minor quartet” by W. A. Mozart in the S. Pelagia church in Turin. In 2018, he played in the musical evening of the Conservatory and held a concert t the Music Hall of the Reggia di Venaria Reale. Marco Tempesti has won first prize in the “European Music Competition” of Moncalieri in 2013 as chamber musician. In 2016, he again won first prize in the Fossano’s “Piano Competition”. He has been ranked first in international competitions like “Terzo Musica” (2009 and 2010); “Città di Sestri Levante” (2010); “Felix Mendelssohn” di Alassio (2011); “Antonio Salieri” in Legnago (2011); “European Music Competition” in Moncalieri as a soloist and chamber musician (2014) and “Concorso pianistico” in Fossano (2015 and 2016). Every year since 2009, he has been participating to concerts “Musica Senza Confini” in Alba.
