The first KBT Discursive Roundtable will be held on Friday, 11th January 2019, from 4pm to 6pm at the Conference Room of the Alliance Francaise.
The topic under discussion is “Displacement”. Artist and writer Shahana Rajani will be presenting her work alongside panelists including social activist, writer and translator Aquila Ismail, Historian Gul Hassan Kalamatti and Investigative journalist Naziha Syed Ali. The Artist and panelists will discuss the impact of urbanization in the city.
The project is run by The Karachi Biennale Critical Knowledge Lab. The KB CKL was instituted as an attempt to consolidate undocumented knowledge and to establish a platform that will engender interdisciplinary exchange, critical discourse, and documentation based on a sensitive understanding of Karachi’s intractable frameworks of incidence, reaction, and reflection.
